At present we have available the following resources

Fonts containing the mediæval cyrillic characters newly included in Unicode 5.1

• Lazov, by Rumjan Lazov of the Institute of Mathematics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, updated by David Birnbaum, with cyrillic characters.
• Menaion Medieval by Viktor Baranov of Iževsk, updated by David Birnbaum, with cyrillic, unaccented Greek, and a full range of superscripts in the Private Use Area.
• Dilyana 2.1 by Ralph Cleminson, with cyrillic and round glagolitic characters.
• Bukyvede by William Veder and Sebastian Kempgen, available in roman and italic versions and containing cyrillic and glagolitic, mirrored from Sebastian Kempgen’s Kodeks site.

XSLT scripts for processing texts

• An xslt script for converting files written in Dilyana 1.0 to Dilyana 2.0, with the associated character list which must be in the same path as the script. Note in the penultimate template of the script

  [@lang='os']

  is necessary because without it, when converting documents written in more than one language, modern cyrillic з and ы may be converted to archaic glyphs. Obviously this should be changed if old cyrillic text is indicated by some other means, and omitted altogether if everything is in old cyrillic.
• A set of xslt scripts for the automatic generation of a critical apparatus. The principles of the operation are described in R. M. Cleminson,“Creating electronic critical editions”, Преглед Националног центра за дигитализацију, vol.8 (2006), 5-10.
• A set of xslt scripts for the quantitative analysis of textual variation by determining the number of shared variants in each pair of witnessed. The principles of the analysis are described in R. M. Cleminson,“XSLT and the Analysis of Textual Variation”, Proceedings of the international conference “SLOVO: Towards a Digital Library of Slavic Manuscripts” [forthcoming].
